All ok. Boat was not luxurious and beds way too small. We booked an 8 berth for four and boat is nearly too big for some of locks on Kennet and Avon Thames was absolutely glorious and highly recommended Loo didn’t work for half the trip. Report to ABC was met with.. “ it’s not urgent.. you have a second loo”

Tired boat in need of updating

The staff were very helpful and polite. The boat is very tired, in need of painting and general updating. The beds are very worn and uncomfortable. We were informed that there were new mattresses but feel this must have been quite a few years ago now.

Weather could have been better. The stourport loop involves a lot of locks some of them pretty tricky and this is not a holiday for faint hearted or anyone looking for a rest. Loved the country bits and fab going through centre Birmingham but some of the Birmingham leg was a bit grotty. All in all an adventure we will never forget.

The team at the marina were brilliant.. really kind and helpful helping us sort a route and get loaded and unloaded. The Swan was well equipped but has seen better days and is really a bunk house on a boat though you have to expect if you hire a boat for 12!

Instruction was good, staff was friendly. A day is lost due checking in late in the day and the need to returning early, this maybe an area that can be improved.

Challenging but fun experience on a 4-day trip along Grand Union canal, peaceful and enjoyable whilst meeting lovely people and pubs along the way. Would look for an upgraded boat for a little more comfort next time. ABC Boats weee very helpful and knowledgable staff. Thoroughly recommend such a holiday in the UK.
