Good training and well equipped boat

They were very helpful, boat had no major issues. Toilet needed some manual control but everything else was great. Very clean and ready to go when we arrived as described. For the price it was great value and we felt looked after by the team. Many thanks

Nice vessel. A bit unclean in places. Could have done with two (2) additional fenders to avoid taking the only 2 off every time we needed them on the opposite side of the vessel.

We have several years experience of canal holidays and have used ABC on many locations. But we hadn't tried the new Springwood Haven location until now. We found it an ideal place for exploring the Midlands waterways. For beginners, there is a substantial network of relatively easy and lock-free canals to choose from. The staff are extremely helpful with a considered approach to the important safety considerations and practical assistance aspects. The boat was bright and clean; it performed well and was easy to manoeuvre. We will certainly use this location again

Everything was perfect. Boat incredibly clean and comfortable. Chris who did the handover at the start was great fun and gave us a lot of confidence. This was the second time with ABC and we will definitely book again.

The boat was clean tidy and well built but the design we all agreed was the worst we have experienced in approx 18 years with ABC / Viking. The rear toilet was very small with an inward opening door which made it a struggle to get into (one of our crew twisted his back in doing so). The shower curtain was about 3 inches too short so it did not reach the shower tray resulting in a lot of water on the bathroom floor when anyone took a shower. The under bed storage was inconvenient as it was necessary to lift the matresses to access it (would have been better if we could have just slid bags / shoes etc. under the beds). The positioning of electric sockets in the bedroom areas was poor in that they could not be used when someone was in bed. The drop down bunk beds (in stored position) were easy to bang your head on when in the bed underneath. The oven stuck out too far and was positioned half way across the sink which made it very easy to lean on the cooker controls and activate them (this is a safety issue). There was a very small gap to access one side of the table. Should a deck mop have been provided?? We did have a problem with the front toilet which seemed to overfill with water and meant we had to get a pump out. The boat yard who did the pump out said that most of what came out was water. Unfortunately to get to a pump out point entailed us doing more mileage than intended. Despite all the above and the poor weather we did enjoy the holiday.
