Navigation restrictions (not under ABC's control) made a four-day midweek break shorter than we would have liked.

Sadly, Gayton Marina had failed to empty the toilet tanks so that one was full after only 48 hours and the other was full by the end of four days. This caused quite a bit of anxiety and we were delayed having to get a pump out at an independent boatyard. The fact that the staff are under notice of redundancy does not excuse this.

The narrowboat was comfortable and exceptionally well equipped. The boat handled pretty well for novices and the handover was smooth.

Staff were amazing explained everything and rescued us when we drained the battery on the first night. They were helpful and courteous throughout.

Great booking experience, they were helpful over the phone which questions I had about the boat and the route we might take. Springwood Haven Marina was well maintained and they had trolleys and parking spots for loading/unloading the boat. The staff were friendly and helpful. When we had a minor mechanical fault an engineer came out straight away to where we were stopped, and resolved the issue. The boat itself was great, plenty of space, good cooking facilities, and very good central heating. Despite stormy weather the whole time we had a lovely holiday.

Had an excellent weekend away iin the middle of two storms (got to love the English weather) the staff were amazing the boat was comfortable and well equipped. This is not something we have ever done before but I highly recommend it and will definitely be looking to do it again … hopefully in better weather 😁

A lovely boat that coped well with 10 of us on board. Two bathrooms was a boon and the boat generally was very well equipped.

A very easy company to deal with. All staff we came into contact with, from booking to returning the boat, were cheerful, professional and friendly.

The boat was Cleasby and neat, with everything we needed. The be linen was fresh, and plenty of towels for us. The kitchen was well equipped.

Linda at check in was really friendly and welcoming, and the boat was ready and waiting for us. Everything was near and clean, with lovely fresh bedding. We had a great week on the boat despite the weather, and the provided waterproofs and umbrellas came in handy. Our return to bad was hampered by a broken swing bridge, compostela it off ABC's control, yet they bent over backwards to help, keeping us informed of updates from the canal and river trust. When we learnt we could go no further, Linda sorted out a lift back to the boat yard to collect our car so we could return to the boat and unload

Fantastic they gave us clear instructions of how to use the boat in and out , took time to show us how to use the locks and gave us a little boat training before we went on our way. Had a fantastic time. Many thanks.

First time we have ever used a Canal boat a little scary at First but soon got the hang of it. I had a great time hopefully we’ll be doing it again shortly.
