Scenic canals, quiet and peaceful countryside. Lots of opportunities to stop at bakeries, farm shops and pubs.

ABC boat hire were professional and friendly from the booking process to the end of our trip. They have a wide variety of locations, routes and boats to choose from. The boat was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The handover process made sure we were familiar with the boat and key features of our chosen route. We were offered an early check in for our boat and when we decided to cut our week short by a day due to hot weather they were happy to accommodate us coming back a day early. I have been holidaying with ABC for over 20 years and have had nothing but positive experiences.

Can’t describe how fabulous the Gailey Wharf team are! They are awsome, going above & beyond to help us when a lock was closed and we couldn’t get back. The boat, House Wren was perfect, well maintained & very clean. Would recommend to anyone looking to hire one

The weather became very hot towards the end of the week, and we had a lot of locks to do! It was tricky to keep the boat cool for sleeping on.

The staff at the marina were terrific and the boat even better than expected, with seating probably the only potential issue. There were only 7 of us on board, but with a full complement of 10 there would certainly be a shortage of comfortable seating for everyone. However beds were very comfortable and the galley was great, with plenty of storage and an unexpectedly good fridge. Bathrooms and showers were excellent. Our only minor gripes were that mooring ropes could have been better quality and the water filler hose wasn't the best so it took around 30 minutes each day to fill up.. All in all though, of the 5 canal boats I've been on, this was easily the best and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for a large family group like ours.

We have come to find that ABC Boat hire Boats are well equipped, maintained and designed. This year's boat was clean and we had no engine problems.

From booking to the end of the holiday the service was excellent. A good technical briefing was given and the details of what was and wasn't proved on the boat was clear and correct. The Black Country ring itinerary was a good enjoyable on, and as expected a little challenging at times for beginners.
