The mattresses in the beds are not from this century and there are poor opportunities to charge your mobile phone if you don't have electrical connections to English electricity. The interior generally looks worn.

Thank you for your feedback. I have forwarded your comments to the Marina Manager, who will inspect the mattress on Green Sandpiper. This is the first complaint we have received regarding Green Sandpiper in 2026, and we appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. Regarding the electricity, all of our boats are fitted with standard UK three-pin sockets. Well equipped and comfortable boat. We liked cheerful and efficient handover, the wider beds, the table in the front deck, the easier galley layout, the 2 showers.... not quite sure about the automatic shower pump out as you couldn't save it /the noise till later when everyone was awake! However, it might have been nice if we had been warned that the starter motor was going (we only just managed to start the boat every day) and the propeller was bent so leaking into the bilge... both problems rectified after we got back as they had 4 days between hires.

Seven of us plus dog spent a few days on the Dartford Warbler for my husband’s 60th birthday.. The boat was very comfortable and well equipped. The staff at Blackwater Meadow marina were super friendly and helpful, talking us through all we needed to know. The canal up to Llangollen includes locks, tunnels, aqueducts and lift bridges, as well as some stunning scenery. A perfect break, thank you.
