The holiday was excellent - the boat is fully equipped with everything you would need. We had a couple of challenges with canal closures, but as long as you can be flexible with your routes, then this is not a problem. We did the Black county ring in the first week (as we had my daughter and boyfriend to share the load) and the second week we cruised up the Trent and Mersey to Mercia Marina and back. We had a day of rain, but ABC had provided waterproofs and umbrellas, so we stayed (relatively!) dry. The ABC rep at the marina for the handover quickly established that we are quite experienced boaters, so gave us the instructions tailored to our needs (and the legal requirements), so we were able to get under way relatively quickly. The boat was clean and tidy, with plenty of bedding and towels for our two weeks. One recommendation: I bought a set of walkie-talkies on Amazon before we came and they proved to be immensely useful - it is a long boat, locks can be noisy, and mobile phone signal is not always good on canals.

Hilperton marina staff were very helpful, both on pick up and return of boat. When I booked the boat we wanted was not available, ABC said we could have a bigger boat at the same rate as the smaller one, however we changed dates and got the one we wanted.

Boat, brilliant, canal to Bath a bit of a disappointment as there are so many live aboard boats, many of which should go to the scrap yard, along with all their junk. Not a good look.

Another fantastic boating holiday with ABC. The Brecon and Monmouth canal is stunning - probably the most beautifaul one of the many we have cruised . Red Rumped Swallow was a great boa.t The staff at Goytre Wharf are very friendly and the set up there is very good. Can also recommend breakfast at the cafe.

Administratively the organisation was efficient and excellent. The instructions and advice on the boat handover were comprehensive and useful and all staff were friendly and helpful.

All the staff were very friendly and the instructions we recieved on boat handling and about all the layout of the boat were first class. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week and had no problems with the boat and we were impressed by how clean and tidy the boat was.
