Excellent service from the whole team, our boat was ready for us on arrival and the layout to our needs suited us perfectly Although we are experienced boaters, all aspects of the boat explained in great detail including the external dining table! Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a canal based break

Collection and returning of the boat was seamless. They were very helpful and informative. All staff we came into contact with were very friendly. No problems at all.

This was our fifth trip with ABC on narrow boats, and perhaps the initial shine is, for us, wearing off. We found that the Alpine Swift seemed to be more cramped than previous boats, with the beds narrow, necessitating some skill in rolling over without falling out. The macerator toilet is excessively noisy, disturbing sleep at night.

ABC Blackmeadow Marina staff were all very friendly and customer focused. When we identified a problem with the boat, they were very quickly on scene with the necessary spare parts to deal with the situation.

Great service, boat fully ready, clean etc. As usual. For newbies, good instructions etc before handover. Not their problem…pubs…don’t rely on web sites, look up Tripadvisor, some pubs are…not open Mon or Tuesday, closed down, do not do food any more, as examples. Double check before going. That was on the Ashby canal.

The rating is not a reflection of ABC, more CRT! Our trip was plagued with failing canal infrastructure - 2 broken lift bridges, one broken lock (preventing progress towards Bath) and a blown over tree blocking the canal.

Friendly helpful staff, would have given 5 stars but the boat we were provided with this time was looking a little tired.
