Lovely spring weather, an easy to manage boat and a relaxing and not over busy route made this a great week.

I felt that the canal towards Bath was littered with to many canal boats moored that looked like they had been used as storage boats , But the way towards Devizes was beautiful and quiet , This is not a review against ABC as it’s not their fault but I do think the Canal and River Trust should do something about this . Next time we will go the Devizes way

The boat layout is perfect for two people with a large rear deck and the galley at the rear of the boat.

The boat was ready to go, clean and restocked at the appointed time. Handover was done effectively and we enjoyed two weeks aboard Hooded Grebe. The boat had the galley at the rear of the boat and was excellent for the two of us as we did not have to keep passing through the boat to get drinks and food. We had one small issue with the fridge door but this was fixed within an hour by a very pleasant guy who came to find us. We moored at the boat ysrd on our last night and the staff were brilliant giving us directions to a good takeaway.

The boat was ready for us when we arrived at Wrenbury. Staff very helpful explaining everything. The boat was beautifully clean and well equipped. Beds very comfortable and luckily the weather was perfect. The route we had chosen was explained and advice given regarding places to stop and pubs to eat. Fortunately we had moored half a mile from depositing the boat off the night before, as when we tried to start the engine in the morning, the battery was flat. We phoned the emergency number and a lovely guy walked along the towpath with a battery charger in a wheelbarrow and after a lot of effort managed to get us going again. Great service from ABC.
