We all had a great long weekend break (10 of us ) the weather was perfect and the boat was great, clean well equipped and plenty of hot water for showers in the morning.

We considered the staff very friendly and efficient. We needed to call out an engineer to service an unfortunate plumbing problem that developed. He arrived as arranged whilst we were away from the boat and had virtually successfully completed the job by the time we returned.

The narrowboat as a boat was technically in good order. Staff at the Wharf was pleasant in their communication. However, the interior was much more run down than we are used to when renting a narrowboat at a comparable price. The beds were not configured as we wanted and we found out that the beds in the front were not safe enough to be converted into a double. A detail was that the water for the toilet was not turned on.

Very good dingroducgion to the boat (Ian?), telephone and e-mail dealings all good. Boat in very good order. (I was chased for a £1.75 fuel surcharge. I think it would have been more agreeable for all concerned to waive this)

Boat was clean, well kitted out, and ready promptly. Everything worked efficiently. A non stick frying pan would have been better, and I didn’t sleep particularly well due to the ridge where the two single mattresses joined in the double bed.
