The experience was absolutely brilliant. This is the second year that we have had the same boat, the same week and the same route. Nothing could be faulted. The attention and service given by the staff was great, the cleanliness of the boat and the equipment was up to expectations. I cannot find anything to criticise.

Could have done with more mooring options, especially on the Avon. On the canal, some of the short term moorings seemed to be full with ‘owner occupiers’. Suspect they hadn’t moved for months, if not years. The boat was not as comfortable as some. It listed to port, even when the toilets had been emptied, which led to an uncomfortable night’s sleep. And there appeared to be two different grades of mattress on some of the double beds, which made it lumpy. Cooking equipment left a lot to be desired. No pan was remotely big enough to cater for 6 people, never mind 8, and the oven was rickety.

Easy parking and unloading for the car. Helpful staff. Lovely area. The boat was very clean and modern. The shower tray is a little shallow though and ran the risk of overflow.

Perfect size for a 2 person trip. Our only disappointment and no reflection on ABC Boat Hire was the state of the locks on the Kennet & Avon Canal, one of which was broken and needed a call out to enable us to move forward and others that were leaking and made it difficult to open and shut the locks. A definite need for upkeep / repair / maintenance. By contrast the locks on the Thames were perfect

Everything always good from booking, to pre arrival arrangements, arrival and handover, if assistance required and when returning to Marina. Have used you for over 35 years and always return 1 - 2 times every year
