Really lovely and helpful staff. The marina is in a good location. Never been on this canal before. We had a great trip to Fradley and Great Haywood. Lots of nice pubs on the way and some nice meals. And of course the farm shop at Great Haywood is worth going to. The boat was very comfortable and modern. We had a great break, thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to book again.

This was our 5th trip with ABC and all previous trips were excellent. Unfortunately, this one was disappointing. We travelled on the Flutist Wren from Springwood Haven between 7th-14th October. The boat was in good order and the initial guide was super and very helpful ( he was to first ABC instructor to teach me how to tie a boat off properly without knots - so helpful - perhaps make it part of the introduction). The main disappointments relate to the TV signal. We don't go on a canal cruise expecting perfect reception but having the same boat last year on the same route (Ashby canal) and the same mooring points with excellent reception we were very disappointed the we had zero reception throughout the trip because the receiver disc was damaged. Additionally, the fridge temperature control was faulty and some of our fridge food was partially freezing. Finally, the Wifi provision is so limited that it is is not worth bothering with. I would be happy to pay a bonus payment for decent connectivity

Great trip! We did the Black Country ring which is varied and interesting! Well worth stopping at the Black Country Museum and also doing the Dudley Tunnel tour! Plenty of good pubs along the route, we followed the ABC suggested guide.

I have given them 4 stars for the trip instead of 5, simply because we were boating novices, and we weren't sure how far we could go and still get back in time, another time we will be more confident.

Our fifth holiday with ABC. The boats are comfortable and well equiped, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the briefings and training are excellent. Really enjoyable holiday. Thanks.

Great fun. Most people on canal were friendly. Lucky with the weather. The kids loved it.

Very friendly, helpful. Well equipped boat. Only issue was the heating which didnt appear to work. Chilly at night. Had a great time despite this. The kids loved it.
