Everything about the whole holiday was fantastic, Boat company great, Marina service was excellent, the whole team were fantastic and friendly. The week on the canal was great, good scenery, great eating places, good beer, weather not bad for Wales, only rain on a couple of hours for a few days!

The whole booking experience was easy from initial to arriving on site. About a week before the Marina called to confirm the boat layout and advised of the checking in routine. On the day at the marina Lynn and her team were fantastic, from checking in, doing the boat safety talk and sending us on our way. Mathew who gave us the boat introduction was great in explaining what was needed and answering our questions. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job of preparing our boats as we had two on our booking. On return to the marina the checkout was also very efficient.

Having had an ABC holiday before, from Alvechurch Marina, we were really looking forward to this trip, but sadly we didn't enjoy it. The rivers were in bad condition, the locks were in desperate need of maintenance and the biggest problem was finding anywhere to moor. The boat smelt of rotting wood, toilets and drains. This made it quite unpleasant to be on board, and was largely the reason we came back a day early rather than spend another night on the boat. Our original intention was to get to Oxford but only got to Pangbourne. We cruised for 5 hours in the first day, 7 hours on the second, stayed at Pangbourne for two nights and then came back. Again 5 hours and 7 hours cruising, but somehow we managed to use £90 of diesel, 55 litres!!!! I found this very hard to believe, but have no way of knowing if the boat was full when we left, or witness how much was put in when we returned, but can't help feeling ripped off. The staff were friendly enough at the Marina, but we were never asked 'how was your holiday?', or 'How come you've cut your trip short?' All in all, very disappointed, and in no rush to do it again
