Great friendly service as usual

The staff at ABC Aldermaston were first-class - helpful, efficient and friendly. The booking system, picking up and returning the boat all worked well. The boat itself, Arctic Warbler, was a bit tired - could do with a repaint - but it was mechanically sound, handled well and was spotlessly clean inside. The three of us had an excellent week on the Thames and K&A and would certainly use ABC again.

Enjoyed the trip but no water was available between Aldermaston and Newbury. Likely we did not run out of water but it was a concern by the third day.

ABC staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The boat was clean and fully ready to take out. We have used ABC many times before and have always been impressed with them and would recommend them to others.

It was our first time, the welcome and hand over was clear and detailed, we re only left once we felt confident in handling the boat. we had a great trip and enjoyed each day even the one wet day. we will be going again

We have used ABC Boat Hire 4 times now and they have always impressed us. From the ease of booking and excellent communication from the administration team. To the standard of equipment, and cleanliness of the boats. The hand over instructions are very clear and useful. We had Chris doing our hand over and he was charming and helpful. It was a very simple procedure when handing the boat back. We had a wonderful long weekend and are very keen to do it again next year. I would recommend this firm to anyone.

We did have a great week on an ABC boat from Goytre Wharf, and would recommend them. Two minor problems, (1) the water hose was split/leaking, a meter or so from the tap, (2) The WIFI code ran out after five days, and not due to data usage.

We had the boat for 2 weeks and cruised to Liverpool Docks (which we'd tried to do twice before and aborted for various reasons). We did get to Liverpool Docks as planned and it was great, but it was not without numerous difficulties. These included swing bridges only open certain hours, a broken swing bridge were boats were only being let through at midday, an impassible pound at Wigan, due to no water and a swing bridge failing to close properly. These 'issues' required a lot of re-scheduling of our cruising schedule and some early morning starts and late evening finishes, which were stresses we were not expecting. Also, on our return, a hold up of a day due to problems with the Barton Aqueduct meant we had to cancel our Anderton Lift / R. Weaver trip at the end.

Really helpful and service minded. The run through of the boat was a bit brief but sufficient. It is a complicated boat with a lot of systems on board and a complete run through might take a full day.
