The heating didn't work properly in sub zero outside temperatures and the toilet was full after 5 days (2 people on a 6 berth boat) but these weren't insurmountable problems for us. Disappointing that ABC don't give a full size fridge, which Anglo Welsh do, and the extra size beds are a faff to set up each day so we won't bother with those again. However, overall the boat was nice, the layout is well thought out, the electrics are good and everything else worked well. The boat yard were pleasant and ABC generally are a good and easy company to deal with. Boat handover could be quicker - we are experienced boaters, but our handover took about 2 hours including a driving lesson, whereas others with less experience got through it in half the time.

Very friendly staff. Kept well informed of forthcoming holiday. Was also upgraded FOC to a larger boat as original booked boat had a fault.

Disappointed at lack of visitor moorings at Aldermaston wharf, possibly contributing to the demise of te local pub. We moored up abreast to an ABC boat because there was nowhere else. Annoyed at no mooring notices outside local houses.

Excellent boat - fully equipped and everything worked perfectly. Was a cold week but the heating kept us nice and toasty Boat was spotless when we arrived (and we were quite early). Would highly recommend and would book again.

Gorgeous, marina, lovely staff, fabulous boat, and we had a wonderful holiday cruising the Ashby Canal. Can't recommend ABC Boat Hire enough.

As usual, helpful and friendly staff with easy handovers. Each year we go, our loyalty discount increases by 2.5% and next year will be at the maximum of 10%. We are thinking of a second holiday this year for which we get an additional discount - I think the maximum total discount you can get is 35%

Loved our holiday on the Canal. The boat was excellent and the service we received from ABC was also excellent. Friendly staff, super efficient and very welcoming. We have used other boat hire companies in the past and none of them have been as good.

The people at the marina were great as were the people we met on our journey. The narrowboat, especially being new, was extremely good.
