Our first time on a canal boat and we had a great time. Some good advice and reassurance from the ABC team and we were on our way. After the initial issues of getting used to steering a 70ft boat we settled into it pretty quickly. 8 of us plus 2 dogs on the boat didn’t feel too confined. For first timers we’d recommend having a group that can all muck in when it comes to locks, mooring up etc - takes the stress out of it. To be honest if our foreign holiday hadn’t have been cancelled we’d never have opted for this holiday but we’re really glad we did it. Enjoyable, chilled, Time with friends, moments of hilarity, lots of helpful and friendly people along the way, good pubs en route and as an experienced boater told us “canal boating really is the fastest way to slow down”. Highly recommend anyone giving it a go - we’ll be back for sure.

Spotless boat, all the equipment and faciities we could need (except for width in the beds)! Lovely, friendly, knowledgeable service. More expensive than your competitors but we see why.

Nice boat easy to handle. But nowhere to hang towel or tea towel in kitchen area. Double bed very high.

We had a great time. Our grandsons enjoyed the experience of operating the locks. The boat felt a bit cramped even though we had chosen a bigger boat than we required. We should have chosen a boat with less berths but the same length.(70ft)

Service was very good and staff very friendly. Layout of the boat not our favourite but otherwise very good all round.

Excellent customer service throughout from the lady at reception and then Dom who helped with delivering a missing toaster mid holiday. Probably the best family holiday we have had and will look to return. Not a cheap getaway but memorable as this Welsh canal (Mon/Brec) is just so pretty. The boat did look a little tired compared to others on the canal so could do with being upgraded but overall a fantastic break.
