This boat was absolutely amazing! Loads of room, everything you need and a delight to live on for 11 nights. The boatyard setup was extremely professional and they made sure you were totally ready to set sail with all the information and tuition you needed. Would highly recommend.

We found the staff very friendly and professional and the boat was clean and tidy. The map book which we purchased was excellent showing in detail the route with all the important attractions on the way. My wife and I found it hard work as it was our first time and she wouldn't drive so had to do all the locks and the swing bridges herself, which she found difficult. To start we were given a quick lesson and left to fend for ourselves not realizing there was a lot to it. We also found that the self-drive boat owners could be a bit difficult and had one or two incidents on our travels, which was upsetting. However, these were a very small proportion with 90% of the people being extremely helpful and friendly. Overall we enjoyed the holiday very much and would consider going again with a gang sharing the chores.

There were a few niggles, the TV reception was patchy, the Wi-Fi only worked on 1 night, the battery did not last the night without charging, the double bed was hard.

Staff were excellent,all of them.Boat was great, clean and well kitted out. Nothing negative to say except for HMRC not dropping VAT. I wrote to my MP...no reply x

Very enjoyable cruise around the Black Country. Barge was excellent in every way - really impressed with the interiors. Had no issues whatsoever.

Boat was immaculately clean, while the handover from Roy was great. It was our first time on a boat and he took us through everything and even met us at the first flight of locks to run through how they work.

Relaxing holiday. Enjoyed a change of scene. Our planned holiday was cancelled so this was our second choice. Staff very helpful, boat was beautifully clean with all mod cons and nice extra touches like waterproofs, playing cards and bird spotting book. Really enjoyed identifying birds on canal and even saw a kingfisher one morning.

No fault for the company or for the boat. Reservations however over the state of the canal. I have been on five canals in UK and I never before encountered stretches with trees growing half way across the waterway. This on two occasions led to dangerous confrontations with oncoming boats resulting in getting stuck in the mud. On one occasion we only escaped by getting a tow from the boat which, eventually, came up behind us. One other point...... we were at times aware of the folly of embarking on this trip without at least one nimble, active, preferably young, crew member. There are occasions each day when situations arise where physical strength and agility are needed ..... and urgently! We think it would be helpful if, in your literature, you tactfully pointed this out to prospective hirers.
