The boat was not up to the usual standard of cleanliness and the marina had no office to go to but the the canal was the most cleanest and beautiful we have been on, the canal staff were very helpful.

Great experience to discover England from another perspective. We did the Stourport ring in 7 days. We definitely wanted to do a ring and not going from A to B and return, but we would have liked to have had more time to linger somewhere alongside the canals. Why not offer this tour 9 or 10 days? It was also good to do the tour anti-clockwise, so that we tackled the first 12 locks already in the late afternoon on the first day and the series of 30 locks on the second day, to give us the feeling that we could do it. That made the return via the river Severn very relaxing. We would have liked to have received more information on places to stop alongside the route and what to visit. We did get very useful information before departure in Worcester marina, but it should be included in the travel documents to be able to read it beforehand. The map that we bought for 6.50 pounds was really indispensable to have an idea where we were and how many locks were coming up an where we could moor. I do not understand why this map is not included standard in the travel documents. We paid a lot for this trip, so why having to pay again a small amount for a map? Just include it in the documents. The interior of the narrow boat was really luxurious. We really enjoyed the good surround music installation and having plenty of towels and sufficient kitchen utensils. For us Dutchies, when we decided to book this trip, it was not easy to decide in which location we would hire a boat and what tour we wanted to do. We were dependent on the location of airports and stations close to a marina and we wanted to do a complete tour in 7 days. It seems difficult to be able to do a round tour for 4 days, you always have to return to the same marina. Could it not be organised that you can return a boat to another marina, so that you can also do trips from A to B without having to return to the same location?

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We offer route suggestions in our brochure and on our website and customers are able to book longer holidays and complete these routes over more time if they wish. We don't provide a detailed itinerary as each crew is different, some have more experience and others may have many crew members - it is better for the Marina staff to discuss the options on arrival. We offer a variety of maps prior to booking as well as at most of our marina's and generally customers like to purchase them and keep them as souvenirs or to use on future holidays. Unfortunately we cannot offer one way trips as this would logistically be too complicated! We're really pleased to hear that you were impressed with Canyon Wren and we hope to see you again in the future.

Very relaxed yet efficient approach to customers Did not make a fuss about slight damage that occurred to the boat during our trip .Very quick to re-fuel the boat and sort out refund when we returned despite there being a lot of boats back that morning. Regards, Bill Linnell

We have had many canal boat holidays but this boat is extremely tired. If the boat had been better we would have rated it with five stars for the following reasons, The front and rear ropes were too short with one actually frayed. The radio/CD player worked on the first day and from then all we had was crackling and hissing. To stop this we had to switch off in the battery cupboard. The cooker control buttons were very loose and kept falling off plus one was missing. The shelf in the oven was not stable and tipped forward when removing hot dishes from it. The mooring spikes were not found on the boat until mid week as not in the box with windless and hooks. The drinking water tap would not remain upright and took a long time to fill a glass. The light over the sink in one bathroom did not work. Toaster Crumb tray was missing.

The parking facilities at the boat yard were convenient and secure. All the staff were efficient and friendly. The boat was clean and well equipped if slightly dated. The only thing missing was the torch. This was our 8th canal boat holiday , the 2nd one with ABC BOAT HIRE. We can highly recommend ABC , a great company. Thanks from the Van Aken family. 🇬🇧🇾🇪
