NB Astrid is beginning to show its age. The skylight vent is missing it’s stays, so was unusable. Although the throttle lever was usable, the handle was missing off the end. The floor in the rear cabin is getting rather “soft” and in danger of going through. The side seating in the front well is too narrow for comfort. Having said all that, we had a lovely holiday, and the weather was very kind to us.

A well laid out boat, comfortable and well equipped. Steering was often difficult - little response at low revs or in shallow water (I know that is always the case but it was much worse than usual on Fredrick . Drop down seat/bed in dinette was far too low to sit and eat from the table. Reception/service excellent

In general, t was a perfect holyday, only during the last two days, there was an unplasent smell in the rear of the boat (toilet?)

We spent 4 nights on the Langollen Canal, it was our first time on a Canal boat holiday. The staff at ABC boat hire were excellent and their advice and knowledge put our minds at ease helping to make this holiday such a memorable experience. The boat was comfortable and well equiped and detailed instructions made it easy to skipper.

Everything was fine, apart from the fact that the mains inverter wasn't working, unfortunately we didn't find this out until we moored up for the first evening, we called out the duty Engineer who arrived very promptly, but he couldn't fix it, so we were unable to use the microwave, and a microwave only meal went in the bin!

Although we're pleased to hear that the on call engineer was able to come to you quickly it is disappointing that the problem wasn't able to be resolved. We hope you had other provisions or a pub near by! We hope you will be back for another holiday with us again soon.

Well equipped boat easy to handle very good handover from Wayne. Heating excellent for the cold nights encountered. Have wanted to do Llangollen with the Aqueducts for 30 years, so celebrated in style with Champagne and Tuxedo

Making the online booking with ABC was just so easy. Telephone questions received a friendly and helpful response. Reception on arrival was friendly, thorough and reassuring for us, as we had no experience of operating a canal boat. Hand over of the boat was again friendly and thorough, everything was explained. The boat was clean, well appointed and served us well for four very enjoyable days. Would have no hesitation in recommending ABC for their caring customer service.

This was our first go on a Narrow boat, both my wife and I loved it, the boat was well equipped, we had no issues, the weather was great and the folk we met along our trip were very friendly. we will definitely be doing this more often. A fantastic way to chill out for a week, I would recommend this to anyone..

Lovely boat, great staff at the handover but a stupidly placed Fender rope has broken my partner's leg! and we are now missing out on another holiday with friends along with other booked events. FIX IT PLEASE, put them further down the boat!!
