Lovely autumn week on the boat. It was clean and had all the amenities we could possibly want. Boat is looking quite tired now though.

The staff at Whitchurch were welcoming. The boat was ready earlier than the time given and considering it was near the end of the season the boat and its contents was in good shape.

comfortable boat at a convenient location. diesel sounded like it would self destruct at warmup. how about a cookpot for pasta and soups, and better knives. could not suss out diesel heater.

We provide many kitchen items on board our boats and suggest to our customers to contact the marina about any other additional items they feel like they might need. If they can not be provided we would suggest to you to bring your own. Sorry to hear you had difficulty with the diesel heater. All our boats come with information packs that would have contained contact numbers for an engineer or the marina. And they could have helped you or provided you with instructions on the heater. We hope we can welcome you back again in the near future.

We loved every minute! We took our two sons ages 12 and 14 and we had a ball - no xbox for an entire weekend - they didn’t even miss it!! Relaxing, quiet, peaceful... the locks were brilliant fun and it was a great way to have really quality family time. Our barge was spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need... Thank you to all the team at Aldermaston - they were very helpful.

The only problem we had was the pump on the water heating woke us up at 4 am on the second night making loud noises (we were in the rear cabin), so we switched it off. We switched it on again at 9 am and it was quieter but the water didn't heat up and the central heating stopped working. As the weather got warmer we didn't need the CH and the engine, when running provided us with hot water,but not first thing in the morning. We haven't heard whether there was a refund on the fuel depot.
