We're glad you enjoyed your holiday and were comfortable on the Crowned Eagle. Some of the locks along the Kennet & Avon can be hard work as the restoration of the Canal is ongoing but at least it keeps us all fit! We hope to welcome you back again soon.

We have enjoyed many weekends over the years from many bases. We felt that the boat this year was newer, the instruction was more thorough and the Droitwich Ring to be a very good option for a short break.

Our experience with ABC was brilliant from start to finish. We arrived at the Marina several hours early, due to having to drop our hire car off in the morning, but this was no problem at all, and we were offered a place to store our luggage while we went over the road to get some lunch. When we returned from lunch we were told our boat was ready and we could get going straight away, despite it still being a couple of hours before official check in time. We were given extensive guidance and instruction, which made us first time boaters feel very confident. Te boat was lovely, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed and more. We had been given some good tips by ABC staff on places to moor and how far to go each day, which proved invaluable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the boat, thanks in no small part to the excellent service provide by ABC.

As six complete novices we were expecting a few problems or things we hadn’t expected. We couldn’t have been more wrong. The DVD / online help meant we could do our preparation in advance and as often as we needed. The staff were super helpful and helped us finalise our route. The boat itself was well epuipped and felt larger than we had expected and was more comfortable than we had thought it would be. To top it all off we had amazing weather so all in all... a perfect weekend!
