Toilet flodded boat with sewage due to the fact that one of the tanks had not been pumped out, when spoke to girl at Anderton marina for assistance was she would call back (still waiting for call). Depot we located to pump out was clsoed for day and we had to suffer the smell of raw sewage in the boat late saturday and in to Sunday where we sourced a pump out station and paid £20.00 for the service.

We were a group of 5 ladies who had never been on a barge before. We hired the Blue Rock Thrush for a long weekend break from Hilperton Marina. Before we set off, we had all watched the DVD and were given extremely thorough technical assistance at the Marina. The staff were excellent and helpful, so, by the time we set off, we felt quite confident about the whole experience. The barge was very well equipped and clean and was just perfect. We spent three days cruising the canal to Bath and back. It was a beautiful route and a lovely way to appreciate the countryside and nature which was all around us.

Excellent run through of the boat by Jeff, very comprehensive, the boat was extremely clean + the bedding, well stocked. It would have been really nice to have a small table and chairs for sitting on the outside deck in the evening - I know this is difficult due to space constraints and we did have a particularly sunny week, so just a thought

Just the entry door on the boat was difficult and the latch dropped whilst we went out for the night resulting in us taking over an hour to get back on our return.

absolutely fantastic experience - the marina is small and delightful, fantastic pub located opposite with great food, boat was well equipped, neat, tidy, clean. Staff were wonderful, helpful and very friendly

The boat was rather tired looking, which is why it is 4 rather than 5 star rating. Staff at the boatyard were excellent, very helpful and efficient.
