Gayton Marina was a lovely marina. Facilities very good. Staff were very helpful and polite. Boat was a lot bigger than i was expecting but after some tuition was made to feel in control. The boat itself was first class. Facilities on the boat were excellent. Had a 4 night hire in October. Heating on the boat was lovely. Thoroughly recommend a holiday on their canal boats.

3 stars for the trip, ABC gets 4 stars. We were a bit unprepared for this trip. It's a lot of work, especially in the cold and rain. No heat at night, and we only went as far as Chirk rather than Llangollen and we had hoped.

The staff of ABC were wonderful and provided us with all the information we needed to have a great week on the canal.

Great assistance getting on board. Very complete instructions and training in turning the boat about. We later found out that the Marina's pump out system wasn't working and we had to arrange a pump out well before it was expected. We also suspect that the water tank had not been checked for fullness. We were not told of this.

If river levels are high in the Severn and Salwarpe, then your only route option is up the Worcester and Birmingham Canal towards Birmingham via the 31 locks of the Tardebigge flight.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Boatyard close to Worcester town centre, but restricted route options if River Severn level is high.

Well-organised business and hand-over, the boat was good, although we had a small leak when it rained which needed to be rectified. Probably a demonstration of how to exit the marina at Worcester using the winding hole right outside the entrance when one is a complete beginner would have helped - it was almost the trickiest manoeuvre of the whole trip, and straight away - yikes! The boat was comfortable and well-appointed, though I can't help thinking more hooks in the bathroom and galley areas would have been good - a 6-berth boat with potential for lots of wet outdoor clothes needing to be dried demanded it.
