Great boat, great service, great stretch of canal for newbies

We were very comfortable on Spotted Sandpiper in the four single bed configuration for four nights. No problems at all with the boat. Great orientation before we arrived and upon arrival. We were novices (well, still are) and enjoyed the relative ease of the one lock stretch from Hipperton/Trowbridge up to below Bathampton.

We did the Droitwich loop in a weekend. If I was doing it again, I wouldn't. That is because we felt a degree of pressure to get round in the time available. We hardly met another boat and I suspect in high season we'd have ended up somewhat anxious. This is nothing to do with the boat or ABC, but the choice we made.

The boat was picked up on time. No mechanical issues and the weather fine. The staff were extremely helpful in the admin and the training received both in the classroom and on the boat.

A lovely route with such a mixture of fields, forest and rolling hills. The aqueducts and tunnels are so very memorable and everyone is so friendly

Beautiful spotless boat, almost brand new, and (as ever) very friendly and helpful ABC staff on site. Fantastic week on the Llangollen canal, would recommend to everyone

Excellent pre-flight training and key hand-over. Really nice people. No problems with boat. Quick no-hassle turnaround when 1 issue arose

Lovely canal. It was a bit hairy in places owing to strong currents. It was interesting going through the Oracle in Reading. Never been through traffic lights on the canal before. Quite an experience
