Reasonably priced hire of narrow boat. Boat was spotlessly clean on collection. Thoughtful boat layout ensuring privacy for different parties and good safely measures. Additional essentials kindly provided, such as washing up liquid etc. Handover and basic training was thorough, yet friendly. What more could you want? Many thanks ABC.

We have holidayed with ABC on a number of occasions, but this time round was very disappointing. The boat was very damp and musty, green moss on the windows. We had to fill up the water tank on day one as it hadn't been done before we left the wharf. Generally had to wash up the kitchen equipment before we used it, frosty glasses and grubby pans. The bed was very uncomfortable so we ended up using the dining area to make up a second bed so we could both sleep. Again, mattresses and cushions were very damp, despite opening the windows to air out every day and having the heating on as we went along. Internet would have been handy to look for places to visit and places to eat, but they hadn't activated it. We called mid week as we were assuming it was the signal in the area. On returning at the end of the week I raised a few concerns, but the lady at the wharf just said 'ok'. She didn't seem atall bothered and then proceeded to charge fo extra fuel, even though we didn't go far along the canal. Made us wonder if the diesel tank hadn't been properly filled either. All in all a disappointing service from ABC. We will travel on the canal again, but will definitely use a different boat hire company. ABC like to charge the money, but you don't get what you pay for

A wonderful break from real life. Mentally relaxing even if not necessarily physically relaxing, and the boat was well designed for comfort.

Superb service from everyone we interacted with. The booking office was extremely responsive to questions, whether it was advice on what guidebook to buy to conditions on the waterways. The pre-departure briefing at the marina was friendly and thorough.

There were plenty of options for routes without locks or with major flights of locks. As we were looking for the less physical break we took an easy option. The staff at the marina were helpful in guiding our choice.
