Everything was well done except the fact that the rudder was badly bent. This caused bad shaking every time we went above the slowest setting. On returning the boat having spoken to the manager at Wrenbury nothing was said, no apology just a payment of £20.00 as we went over on fuel (probably because of the issue).

I would of loved to have given 5 stars but the rudder was a big negative. The weather was wonderful and scenery just beautiful. All four of us had a great time.

We had a great time on Purple Sandpiper ... The facilities where perfect .. nice and clean ... all that you needed ... Very warm welcome from all the staff... The down sides were the mattress's ... they were very uncomfortable.. double beds were singles pushed together with a hard ridge in the middle and hard springs... they should be upgraded to memory foam... the other the cost of fuel very high...

Beds need to be upgraded to memory foam. The seating from the wall needs oiling very hard to pull it up.

Not my favourite layout compared to other longboats we have hired from ABC (I preferred the kitchen and seating area on the previous hire but can't remember what the boat was called!) but this one year old boat was reasonably comfortable and having two bathrooms it was a perfect size for eight adults and a dog!

This is our third longboat holiday with ABC boat hire. The staff at Worcester Marina are very helpful and friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. The boat was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. You receive a very thorough safety talk and instructions on arrival which is great if you're new to boating holidays or just in need of a refresher (on our very first holiday one of the staff came with us and as far as the first lock to help us through). I would definitely recommend this company.

We have taken hire boats out from various marinas over 20+ years. This boat was the best we have had. Mattresses were particularly comfortable.

A really interesting route with lots of contrasts and lots to see. We had a couple of technical issues which were promptly resolved with advice on the phone so that our holiday was not interrupted. The staff's flexibility when we changed our arrival time (twice!) was much appreciated.

Right from the booking the ABC Boat hire staff were helpful and informative. They kept us aware of any canal works or closures and sent us detailed directions to the boat yard. The handover was smooth without being rushed or needlessly drawn out. The boat was clean and fit for purpose and the quilts were the best I have ever experienced on a hire boat, (and I have hired quite a few boats over the last 23 years with different companies). I am already preparing for my next boat trip with ABC Boat hire and eagerly looking forward to it having experienced a brilliant and relaxing voyage this time.

Despite the pouring rain detailed handover and safety talk and and answered all our questions Narrowboat better than expected instant heating and hot water Good wi fi and usb points for charging our phones Seamless handover on return Will definately use again
