Quiet and peaceful, but very shallow (as we were warned(. Very few places to get supplies along the way.

The boat was prepared very well, the instruction session was comprehensive and their description of tge canal was a curate. Our only minor complaint was that the coffee mugs were not very clean when we started.

The issue was all down to the boat, we experienced a nasty sewer / stale water smell after taking it out on the rear of the two bathrooms, which we decided to close up and not use. The shower tray has collapsed being plastic, they have timber under the base to support it, this has come detached. We know this as we are plumbers and have taken these cheap trays out numerous times.

Very good experience from start to finish. Easy to book, competitive prices, and friendly helpful staff. The time allocated was more than enough to take the suggested trip to the local pub and back at a very lesuirely pace, we even had time to stop half way for a relaxing cuppa on the bank. Smooth pick up and drop off. Will definitely recommend and use again!

The booking online service was easy, the staff at Gayton were friendly and helpful. The boat could have even cleaner, I.e. it was cleaner when we left, cobwebs in corners etc. .The boat is getting very dated now and numerous maintenance issues.

We found all the ABC staff on the phone and at Gayton marina very helpful and knowledgeable. We have always found their boats spotless clean and well looked after . We have been very many times with ABC boating and enjoyed their beautiful canal boats.

We had a wonderful day even though it was overcast it was my 70 th birthday so it was perfect for me and wife kids and grandkids every generation enjoyed it
