Although the general service was good. The state of the boat was not. We realised after setting off that the boat could have been cleaner better, but the worse thing was the back cushions were not available, which made sitting comfortably non existent. This had a knock on effect when going to bed, because having not been able to relax our backs the average mattresses just made it worse.

The staff were pleasant. The boat had something to be desired. Engine belt squealed; either the prop was very unbalanced or possibly bent shaft...which made the tiller shake terribly. In fact, half way through the rental I was back at the marina to have these addressed. Mechanic did a pump out and basically said, "can't do anything about it now". Anyone with the slightest mechanical experience knows you can tighten a belt in a few minutes. Just sent us on our way. Upon returning the Cape Weaver, I gave them a list of things to address. Think they apologized with a rebate or offer of discount on next visit? Nope. Probably will use a different provider next time.

We travelled on the Llangollen canal which is quite beautiful. Starting on the cheshire plains and moving up into the Welsh hills it provides an ever changing landscape. This is an excellent trip if you are short handed as there are not too many locks to negotiate.

We are loyal ABC customers. We did have some issues last year but the compensation was more than adequate so they retained our loyalty for this year. They are always helpful, the boats are well appointed and always clean.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Everything went very smoothly from start to finish! Great holiday with some excellent pub meals!

Overall, a lovely holiday but spolit a bit because there were several things wrong on the boat. The grill didn't work (faulty thermocouple?) and the shower temperatures were uncontrollable - either boiling hot or cold, sometimes cycling between the two without any adjustment on the controls.

There were too many faults on the boat to give more than 3 stars. These shoulod have been checked prior to hand-over.
