Overall, a lovely holiday but spolit a bit because there were several things wrong on the boat. The grill didn't work (faulty thermocouple?) and the shower temperatures were uncontrollable - either boiling hot or cold, sometimes cycling between the two without any adjustment on the controls.

There were too many faults on the boat to give more than 3 stars. These shoulod have been checked prior to hand-over.

The company prepared us well for the boat trip, both with recommendations on use of the boat, and also with maps, pointing out information which would be useful for the routes we were planning. The boat was very well equipped - attention to detail. It took a little time to get going on the first afternoon - but perhaps that was because we were a group of four boats. We didn't see an inventory - but that fact didn't turn out to be a problem...

Good pre-cruise communications, boat was everything we could have wished for, good training on boarding. All equipment was as it should be, kitchen well stocked

Boat was well stocked and had everything we needed for an enjoyable & comfortable trip - especially liked the little reference books on Birds, Knots etc. etc. came in very handy

we were on Marbled warbler, one of the 4 in the same party as White-tailed eagle. We really enjoyed our time on the boats, the canal, the river, the wildlife, the pubs, the beautiful weather

Service generally OK although the boat wasn't quite ready on our arrival. Somewwhat disappointed with the boat itself as it was well worn and rather 'tired' compared with other hire companies' craft.

Adequate. Boat was a bit scruffy. Canal was busy so finding moorings was a bit of a problem.

We were asked on arrival if we had an idea of where we were going. We were then given relevant details of lock restrictions, to help with our planning.

Leisurely, relaxing trip along the Staffs & Worcester and Trent & Mersey Canals. Interesting towns and villages to visit. Good weather made for a great week.

From the initial booking of the holiday, to handing back the boat it was a very good experience. Even though we were unable to settle the fuel usage on the day of hand back, it was sorted on the following day, which was a Sunday. The handover was thorough and the on board manual very comprehensive.

The boat was clean, very well kitted out and very comfortable. We put the heating on one evening and found it extremely efficient Falkirk marina was a great place to start our boating holiday
