great holiday , everything well organised , even when there was a small problem with the boat the engineer helped over the phone to overcome it .

Had a really good time. Boat was well prepared with no faults and handover instructions for first timers very very effective. Was very windy which made handling "interesting". Wifi allowance ran out on first night and TV reception was very dodgy but this made us appreciate the country side ever more.

Great service at Hilperton Marina. The boat was very clean and the service to get us away was exceptional, including a wonderful run through of the boat and its facilities

The staff In the office/reception were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The boat was beautiful and absolutely spotless, the staff cleaning and restocking do an amazing job. The Scottish Canals staff were knowledgeable and friendly. We had a fantastic week and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Fantastic well equipped, well cared for boat. Beautiful well cared for Canals and tow paths. An experience like no other on the Falkirk Wheel and what a spectacular overnight mooring spot at the base of the Kelpies. Would highly recommend both as a must do experience.

Failure to supply the promised additional information, which as it turned out, included an instructional video. If you say you are going to do something, you should do it Had we been an inexperienced crew, this could have been an issue

Service was, generally, very good. We booked and paid the deposit which was easy and clear. One point of contention was; when we paid the holiday balance, we were informed in the confirmation e:mail that we would receive additional information 'shortly'. when we went to take the holiday we had still received no additional information from ABC. This didn't impact on the holiday, but, as it turns out, this additional information included an instructional video, so, had we been inexperienced, we would have been ill prepared. On arrival (we were early) the boat was ready, the marina was well organised and we were able to board and leave within an hour. Our boat was the 72 foot long 'Wagtail' As we got used to the boat, we found it bright and well equipped. The central heating was effective, once the doors were shut and the duvets very coy, something we appreciated in the first week of April Manoeuvring was no different to our 45 foot narrowboat and as we took thing slowly and steadily, we had a relatively stress free week. 45 mph winds and driving rain on the Wednesday, made life interesting, but, with care we escaped to a pub with no issues. (We did a lot of escaping to pubs) The K&A is a lovely waterway and anyone interested in going out in a narrowboat really should traverse the Caen Hill Flight, A brilliant engineering achievement.

Everything you require is on the boat this shows forethought, planning and experience. Everything was in good working order. As alway it is the excellent staff who help you adjust to being on and active holiday and relaxing.
