The Coventry and Ashby Canals proved to be very pleasant, and where we went it was all lock free which was a bonus.

The run of locks at Caen Hill and at Barh tend to limit distances travelled unless one wants to push it. But visiting both and enjoying the lovely country and wildlife in between made for a very relaxing week.

Suitable diagram/map of the routes listing the major points of interest. Shops boat yards for water etc relative to bridge numbers. Nothing fancy just line drawing maps, not to scale just in order of appearance as you progress your route.

This was my sixteenth hire from ABC since October 2015 (two others cancelled during pandemic). ABC boats are very well maintained and get admiring glances everywhere. The staff know their work and are very helpful and friendly.
