From the very start to the very end of our trip nothing was ever a problem. Every single person, from boat hire staff to canal staff tending the locks and wheel etc are so chill about everything. We would definitely go back out on a Canal Boat Holiday and we would thoroughly recommend everyone gives it a go.

Went to Warwick and back, lovely mooring sites along the route and great pubs to visit. The teething issues with the boat, possibly due to the quicker than normal turn around due to a lack if communication with the central booking office, did make some moments rather stressful however. Although the heating and water temp were resolved, we still have both toilets display red lights simultaneously within 4.5 days of departure (we don’t believe they were emptied before departure). We had to resolve this issue ourselves and pay for a double pump out. The floor bracket for the interchangeable legs on the galley kitchen is not securely fixed to the floor, and so whenever the table is changed to a hes or via versa the screws need to be reattached. Luckily we had a toolkit!

We appreciate your patience and understanding while the team at Gayton Marina worked to resolve matters as quickly as possible, including arranging an additional night on board and responding promptly to the heating issues during your trip. Really friendly and informative staff - we had little experience and they answered all our questions and made everything super easy. This included walking us through the route we had planned and explaining the various parts of the canal we would come across. The boat was clean and well presented, with everything we needed.

Easy pick up. Clear and straightforward. Return was also no issue.. Fuel difference paid on return. Would return again to the Anderton Marina and to the A B C. Group. This was the second trip with them.

We had an issue when we first arrived at Gayton Marina, due to a communication issue about a change to our original booking, because of the boat we had booked not being able to get to Aldermarston Wharf. The boat we had been moved to from Gayton was not available until the day after we had been told. Gayton Marina staff dealt with the issue as quickly as possible however and arranged for us to have an extra day and night on the boat. During our first couple of days, we also had some issues with the heating however the engineer was quick to respond and visited us twice. In the end replacing the entire system and also adjusting the thermostat for hot water.
