The boat was ready for us an hour early and we got away from the marina on time to complete our passage to Llangollen and return in 4 days.

The hand-over briefing was rushed and should be more detailed for older inexperienced boaters. Information on reversing techniques would have been helpful. Provision of detailed maps showing water points, dump points, mooring locations and manned locks should be provided. It should have been explained that with only two people on board, sailing from Worcester to Stratford-Upon-Avon and return in 7 days would require constant sailing every day with no time for exploring villages along the way. This would be the case with inexperienced people operating the locks.

Support staff were excellent and explained everything very well before we started. The boat was well appointed with everything we would need. Unfortunately the beds were very hard and uncomfortable and so we returned a day early to the marina.

See my comments above. Also would have been good to have some dial/indicator to tell us what water and fuel we had left. The pull down seat was hard to pull down and the screw fell out during our hire. We managed to fix it but whilst I was holding the seat up for my son to fix I had my face close to the seat. It was not very clean smelling. I believe that all the material seats needed a deep clean.
