We all had a very enjoyable holiday. The only downside was the pressure on time to be able to go all the way to Llangollen and back in the number of days. We all felt this trip should be over 10 days not 7 as we were unable to stop at some places we wanted to or just to be able to moor up for an afternoon and everyday we were driving longer than 5 hours each day. On the handover at the start it would have been more helpful to have had more guidance on how to moore the boat and how to tie secure knots.

We do generally advise customers who would like to take a more relaxed cruise to Llangollen to start from our Whitchurch base as there are less cruising hours and locks to navigate. Our time on the canal was very enjoyable. However, we found the boat to be tired and in need of modernisation and a refit. In particular, the bed mattress was appalling and consequently we didn't have very good sleep for the whole week.

GOOD MARINA WITH PARKING, EASY ACCESS TO LOAD AND UNLOAD,GREAT NARROWBOAT , NO PROBLEM WITH ANY OF THE FACILITIES, EVEN THE TV WORKED TO WATCH THE FOOTBALL. ONLY SLIGHT DISAPPOINTMENT WAS THAT THE WATER TANK WASNT FULLY FILLED .......STOPPED 24 HOURS LATER TO TOP THE WATER UP AND TOOK 45 MINUTES ?? HAD ONLY USED WATER FOR TOILET, WASHING UP AND TEA / COFFEE

We had a very nice holiday on Grays Lark. The boat was comfortable, especially with the bed width extension. We had no mechanical problems, the boat performed very well. The Yard staff at Whitchurch could not have been more helpful.

We had to change to a different Marina at very short notice because the boat we booked was stuck on the Thames. We were dealt with very efficiently and given a reduction in price

From the moment we arrived at Gayton Marina to the day we left the holiday was brilliant! Auduoin's Gull us a lovely comfortable boat with lots of space for 4 people. The boat was very clean and felt covid safe. This was our 3rd time with ABC Boat Hire and will definitely book again.
