The boat was great, we arrived, unloaded the car, great handover and instruction. Set off and enjoyed a fantastic week on the Kennett & Avon Canal, joined the Thames at Reading and headed back. The wildlife and scenery was outstanding. Thank you ABC for a brilliant experience. Had a few problems with WiFi, TV no signal but otherwise all good.

Our first experience on a narrowboat and it was a good experience.

The narrowboat was clean and laid out really well, however the boat developed a nasty rattle (the floor plate above the weed hatch) which I fixed myself with a pair of flip flops. The staff at Gailey Wharf were helpful and asked if an engineer was required to attend, but I told them that I had fixed the issue. The problem is the narrowboats are out constantly without a period of servicing. The canals are now getting too busy due to their popularity with difficulty finding good moorings, queuing at locks etc.

From the booking through to taking the boat the communication was good. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The initial instructions are quite fast!

Well equipped boat. Clean and well maintained. The canal however is rather overgrown which made mooring more difficult and we certainly needed the plank on several occasions.

Excellent boat and great team. We left the marina confident we knew how to handle the boat, and after a walk through with Helen were also happy with the interior of the boat, both the facilities and the covid cleaning measures they had taken.
