Generally, everyting about the location, marina, staff and boat was great. Our week away was lovely and the boat was definitely adequate for our requirements. However, our only grumble was our sleeping arrangements. Our double bed was formed by the bench seat and collapsing dining table. This was not very comfortable. If you have any sort of back problems, as I have, I would advise not to hire this option.

Beautiful and interesting canal on an excellent narrow boat. Really helpful and friendly marina with a smooth handover both arriving and coming back.

We went on Emerald Dove not on a duck. Experience was fine about what was expected. However the beds were very uncomfortable and extra blankets would have been good as standard I believe they were available if requested. Some bathroom cleaning products would have been useful. We also noticed other boats had seating outside at the rear and this would have been a bonus.

All the way through this booking all the staff have been brilliant. We needed to change our original booking due to the first lockdown and even on the final date one of us couldn't attend due to being in Tier 2. Nothing was too much trouble either at the booking center or the boatyard. The covid precautions on picking up the boat were excellent as well. We have a different boat booked for Next year and are looking forward to it already.

Just an amazing experience from beginning to end. A wonderful and sometimes exhausting family holiday. The boat was brilliantly equipped and the staff just amazingly helpful

This is the second time we’ve booked this boat from Gayton. It is modern and comfortable and the staff at the marina were really pleasant and helpful.

We were very disappointed that we found it so difficult to get anywhere. We could hardly move some of the time and constantly went aground, even going under bridges. We have travelled that route twice before but but could not get nearly as far this time.

We wanted a quiet holiday where we could travel through the countryside at a slow pace, interspaced with the activity of passing through locks, but where we had all the home comforts overnight. Torbeam allowed us all of this.

We had a wonderful few days away, the boat was exceptionally clean and comfortable. handover was great and quick. Support throughout the trip was great.
