Apparent fault with service battery charging reported and discussed. Consequently none of the 240v items could be used. To keep batteries charged required excessive use engine on idle and low revs. I am disappointed that this does noit seem to have been taken into account in the refund of the fuel deposit,. Hose fitting missing, so we relied on a member of the public donating one. Water filler cap was broken and unusable. We were thinking of booking again for two weeks next spring with ABC, but I am now unfortunately looking at other suppliers as well.

Comfortable boat which handled well. Mainly equipped with all that was needed. Couple of bits needed attention ...water hose didn't have good connector , small leak from rain water in cabin ,split in bucket. Comfortable layout for one week...possibly benefit from different saloon layout for longer trips. All sais.wr had fun !

We enjoyed the Boat but did not like the number of itinerants in boats on Kennet & Avon. Particularly at Bradford they had the best moorings forcing us to moor along a muddy unsafe bank. Surely they are not all paying appropriate fees, or there should be monitored moorings for hire craft?

Delightful, super clean and sanitised boat, great suggested route, lovely helpful people, and we used Tesco vouchers to make it fabulous value. Despite one day of horrible weather we had great fun. Boat has excellent heater to warm up and dry out

The whole 2 weeks went off extremely smoothly - extra linen was provided as we changed people after week one. The kitchen equipment provided covered all our needs (not always so with self catering accommodation for 6 or more. All the ABC staff and the Canal volunteers we encountered were friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend hiring a canal boat to others - although not the cheapest of holiday options.

Good engine, disappointed with interior. Kitchen doors sticky, little space for provisions. We had a problem with gas supply, bottles did not automatically change when one finished, had yo call engineer out to fix problem. Something was sticking to due change in pressure.

Everything went like clockwork. Smooth handover and good instructions. Boat lovely and clean. Everything and more you needed for a 3 night stay. Thinking of buying my own barge I enjoyed the experience so much.

The boat was ready when we arrived, we were met by friendly and helpful staff. The boat was very clean and well equipped and we simply enjoyed all aspects of the trip to Newbury and back.

Boat had a permanent list to port and the fresh water taken on board in my opinion did not correlate with usage. In other words more was taken on board than used. EG. Fill up at Dnston and again at Avon cliff!
