Excellent welcome from all staff, especislyy the "hand over". Same applies to the return and goodbyes. Not cheap but it is a lot of boat! One major complaint. The bed in the central cabin (I cannot speak for the other one) was the worst bed I recall sleeping in, ever. That includes the Australian Outback and a swag. Of course you need the flexibility of two single matresses but they should match and not have a hard prominenet ridge where they meet. Both were lumpy, soggy in places, solid in others. To put it politely - very much worn out and in need of immediate repacment and careful installation.

The mattresses on board our boats are replaced as part of the maintenance program and should be comfortable; your comments have been sent to the marina so that they can be checked. We had a great week cruising on the canals from Wrenbury marina boat had everything to meet our basic needs , Few things would have improved our time on the boat , decent quality curtains in the bedrooms as light just pours through them in the summer , Although WiFi was supplied it was with restricted data usage, if you are holidaying with child this could present issues as once it’s run out , we were 2 adults and it ran out on day 3 , and I don’t consider us heavy users, Maybe consider the option to purchase WiFi or data packs for the boat , Or don’t not offer the WiFi on board , Some fold away chairs would have been nice as no safe place to sit when you have company at the stern , or if you wish to sit outside in the evening, All in all we had a fantastic week with a mixture of amazing and awful weather ,and will definitely be hiring again

The boats from ABC are beginning to get tired. The mattresses need replacing to enable you get an uninterrupted night's sleep in such a narrow bed. The walled wood surfaces also need to be better cleaned.

It was generally very good. There were some small issues with the boat (1) there was often a toilet smell - I think the water level in the toilet was too low (2) there was often water on the bathroom floor at the low point - I think there must be a leak somewhere out of sight (3) the skylight in the kitchen leaks in times of rain (4) it is difficult to judge if you have charged the batteries up enough - the meters are not user-friendly. You don't want to run the engine when stationary unless you have to. One morning we had to link the two battery sets together (as instructed) but don't know why - other mornings OK.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. The water level in the toilet is controllable but purposely kept low to ensure the tank doesn't fill too quickly. The toilet and skylight have also been checked and no leak has been found. The battery meters have red, yellow and green sections to indicate battery levels, this information can be found in the on board manual. We advise customers to run the engine for 5 hours daily to recharge the batteries regardless of whether they actually move the boat. We are pleased that you enjoyed you holiday and we hope to see you again soon.

The team at Alvechurch are great. Nothing was too much trouble. I could not recommend Cathy, Alistair and the others involved more.

Nice boat but didn't sleep as well as usual because of very hard bed. Otherwise all v. good. Concerned to find that one of your staff still advises to reverse up to a person in the water in contravention of your written advice. A dangerous practice which I pointed out to him.

Fantastic barge holiday. Great service and comms to make sure the boat was set up how we wanted. When we arrived we had a decent walkthrough and training on how to do everything. They couldn't have been more helpful. I was expecting a load of warnings of Don't do this Don't do that, but they have experienced and friendly staff that treat everyone as adults and reassured us that they were there to contact if anything went wrong. Very good all round. Will use again
