The quality of the service and boat were above our expectations. We have never taken a boat on a canal before, but the calm easy attitude of the staff set our minds at rest. The handover was very clever in the way it gave us time to acclimatise us to the boat and to calm our nerves. We are well and truly hooked and would recommend ABC without reservation. Thank you for the part you played in a new fantastic memory.

We absolutely loved our long weekend on the barge! Aside from a somewhat abrasive attitude from the staff member on reception, the boat handover was clear and we were able to drive our barge away with confidence. The boat was well appointed and I was pleasantly surprised that we didn't feel cramped as five adults on a 6-berth. Would highly recommend!

Great short trip. Excellent handover. Great boat which looked recently refurbished. Reasonably well appointed, comfortable beds and everything worked as expected. Very comprehensive instructions! Only missing a ouple of whay I would call essentioal kitchen items, namely a chopping board and a frying pan. Please do not expect your customers to be eating out especially when pubs are not open. Chopping food on a slippery glass worktop protector whic was the size of a placemat is actually dangerous with blunt knives. Frying items in a saute pan with straight sides and no non-stick coating is also not ideal. Non stick coatings are actually pretty good these days and do last years with daily use.

Can’t fault the company or the boat itself, we’ve used them five time from various locations and they’ve always been brilliant, however this canal is in desperate need of a clean up, it is full of rough unlicensed boats (floating shed might be more accurate of which we genuinely saw three). It seem the owners of said sheds love nothing more that hurling abuse at the “tourists” as you slowly cruise by on you relaxing getaway.
