We have used ABC on two previous occasions (Alvechurch), and were happy enough to use you again. Unfortunately, we were disappointed on this occasion. Boat tired and poorly prepared. When we set off, there was clearly a problem with the steering. Your staff discovered carpet wrapped round propellor. This should have been spotted and rectified before we left. Cooker life expired - all markings relating to hot plates and temperature worn out. Oven flame kept going out. Fridge kept defrosting without warning. One of the quilts moth eaten. End of accelerator handle missing. We know that TV reception is hit and miss on the canal, but a broken aerial reduced our chances to nil. Silver Gull is 6 berth - there were only 3 of us, and the wi-fi allowance ran out after 2 days - in 2019, and for the price of hire, this was clearly inadequate

Lovely intro into a life that we would dearly like to pursue in the near future. Beautiful surroundings and a clean, tidy boat. Very helpful staff who are passionate about their work. Would certainly recommend for holidays. Only downside was we had no kettle

Thank you for your feedback, we have checked with the Marina and there is a kettle on board Red Headed Finch. The kettles used on all of our boats are heated on the hob, rather than by electric which is perhaps why you didn't notice it. We hope to see you again in the future!

I have been narrow boating a couple of times before and loved it. This time the amenities were even better. A toilet that flushed without a foot pump and certainly an upgrade from previous trips and a lovely efficient shower. The central heating was efficient and the kitchen well stocked and had everything we needed. very pleased.

Well equipped boat. Only complaint was that the “double” bed was just two seat cushions pushed together, this was very uncomfortable and not conducive to a good nights sleep. Double mattress was what I had expected.

Thank you for your feedback. It would be difficult for us to supply a mattress in the dining area because of the storage space required when it isn't in use. The dinette bed is a combination of the seating area and an additional cushioned section which sits on top of the lowered dining table. If you do decide to take another holiday you may like to consider booking a slightly bigger boat with an extra bedroom. We hope to see you all again soon.

The people were extremely friendly and helpful. The boat was in great shape and very clean. There was no down side. The experience could not have been better. We will be back.

didn't like the route,too many locks as we are only 2 people,not enough time to explore the area. I tried to change the base before our holiday because of this but told i may have to pay twice if the holiday couldn't be sold on. We didn't like the steering area ,too constrictive compared to other boats we have had also sink in shower room very slow to empty and no soap dish in shower,if you dropped the soap no room to bend to pick it up,previously had 'hip type base'

Thank you for your feedback. We would always advise customers to read the route information on our website before booking and the Marina information sent to them once they have made a booking to check that they have/are booking a boat from a suitable location. We cannot change a booking without first attempting to re-sell the original hire, which will have been explained to you when you called and is in the terms and conditions of hire. Our Plover Class has a semi-traditional stern, which is more enclosed than the cruiser stern which you have booked previously. We are always happy to advise our customers so please contact us in the Booking Office if you would like any helping choosing your next holiday!
