Had a lovely time, weather was awful but that can’t be helped! The boat was well equipped and the staff were very helpful! Couple of things needed addressing but were dealt with when pointed out. Overall a good experience..

The wifi definitely needs to be improved. We lost connection throughout the day. The access would expire before days end plus we had to call Wrenbury to add data every other day. The French press coffee maker was worn out and in need of replacement. The sewer gas smell at the wall in the aft bed was simply unbearable throughout the week even though we had it pumped at Chirk marine. There was a large amount of vibration that came through the tiller handle. On a positive note the Wrenbury facility was very helpful and whoever helped us at Whitchurch marine tried to be helpful about the vibration but could not resolve it.

Wife didn't like the 2 single mattresses on the double bed as she kept falling in between them.

Very spacious boat, clean interior and spotless kitchen utensils. Lovely part of the Kennet & Avon, saw kingfishers most days. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely quiet break with family. My only comment would be on a 5 day break collecting the boat at 2.30 and returning at 9.30 means it really is only 3.5 days. I would suggest that the handover takes into consideration the video and paperwork so that if people arrived at 13.00 hrs this would allow the holiday to start at 14.00 which even in Oct would give some extra time to get somewhere before it starts getting dark. Otherwise all great.

Thank you for your feedback. Our arrival and return times are necessary to enable us to clean, prepare and complete any maintenance work on the boat in between hires. At quieter times it may be possible for crews to arrive earlier but this has to be arranged and agreed with the Marina on the day of departure. We're glad you enjoyed your narrowboat experience and look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

This was a Christmas present for my parents, they’re just back today and were so sad to leave. They had an amazing time, this was the first time they’d been on a canal boat & they’ll be back to do another one. The staff were fantastic too and had so much time for them. I was so impressed with the service I’ve already recommended the company to friends.

Reception at the marina office with the locking video and the world's most ridiculous, unrealistic and childish model of a lock was simply awful and ignored the hirer's extensive experience. Then staff showing us the boat kept disappearing and changing. Departure was about an hour later than I was expecting. Then on our return we were lucky, we were second in the queue to be refuelled and so on, but others had a very long wait - why not give staggered return times? Everything in between departure and return was excellent, but as a measure of the service by the boatyard these factors count heavily.

Thank you for your feedback. The length of the boat handover is gauged by the experience of the crew and knowledge of ABC boats, however certain parts of the handover procedure do have to be covered every time for insurance purposes. Our boats are ready from 2:30pm and customers do generally arrive at different times, allowing staff to stagger the handovers. We would love to offer a later return time but this would mean that we could then only offer a late arrival for the next guests, which would be very limiting.

Over het algemeen was de boot goed op de volgende 2 punten na. Deze boot heeft veel minder opbergruimte dan we gewend zijn van andere boten in dezelfde klasse, en van deze boot werd de verwarming minder goed warm. Voor de rest was alles naar wens.
