The staff at the marina are so helpful and very friendly.The boat was absolutely fabulous. The galley was better equipt than some of the holiday rentals we have stayed in.. It has a microwave, central heating,and two full size shower cubicles. The Llangollen canal is beautiful this time of year. Bluebells,primroses,daffodils, ducklings,lambs. We had a well needed peaceful calming week and managed to forget all about Covid. It was hard work doing the locks,lifting bridges and managing the ropes on a 63ft boat,but between the three of us ,two of us pensioners, we managed it. I totally recommend Whitchurch marina ,the Curlew Sandpiper and the Llangollen canal.

We had a breakdown. Being engineers we found the problem and told the boatyard engineer who came out promptly and fixed it. Had the fuse link on the ignition circuit been fitted properly the breakdown would not have happened. Lost a morning of cruising

A lovely peaceful and relaxing break in glorious weather. One or two minor glitches (re wifi, tv and .. more importantly .. no working plug in the bathroom sink, making shaving and washing difficult) explain the deduction of one star

Really enjoyed the cruise and the team at the marina were great. The boat, however was a real disappointment. We have used ABC many times before, so knew what to expect. The Black Duck was extraordinarily cramped (and there were only 2 of us on the 6 berth boat!) Great to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, but there was so little space in the kitchen diner, it was very uncomfortable and challenging for more than one person to be on their feet at one time!

Really nicely prepared boat, very clean and well equipped. The manual was very comprehensive and explained everything. Waterproof clothing and automatic inflation lifejackets were provided. We were very comfortable and had a fabulous time. We pick up the boat at Hilperton and went down onto the Avon below Bath locks. Due to COVID we had take away twice and cooked onboard for 5 nights. Cooking was easy with the freestanding gas cooker and oven with the huge inventory provided. We had a problem with the shower and an engineer arrived within 45 mins. He was very pleasant and explained that he would prefer to replace the unit with a different unit which would mean him going to get the part and return. We were happy to allow him the time to complete the repair while we had a relaxing morning in Bathampton. Nice boatyard, boat and staff and would use again.
