Despite Covid and all the worry of wether we would still be able to even start our canal holiday, we managed to finally complete the Llangollen Canal, from Wrenbury. This was our third year in succession of canal trips and our second with ABC. Thank you all for a fantastic holiday - from the 6 Surrey/Sussex Canaleers!

We have used ABC before Over the passed 40 years and we know and love the attention to detail they put into the handover, and the boats. The level of service is so good, that even when, on day 1 of cruising when are toilet blocked (due to the motor needing to be replaced) the engineer met us at a point where our journey was not interrupted. He did not replace the motor but managed to get it working. Our only problem was that the toilet gave up again during our last day, no point getting the engineer - but the experience was sadly not a pleasant one, the smell and look of the water was not good. The other loo was also showing a red light on the last morning, which again could have been a problem, but wasn’t “luckily”. We would not mark ABC down for this as it was out of their hands too. Thank you ABC.

The boat was great, the yard rather less so.

The boat was lovely but there were two shortcomings. We have never previously (8 trips) had to pump-out yet despite having only three on board we had to do so after only 5 days. Also, the WiFi allocation of a few hundred mbs was far from adequate for a week.

All very good until having to have a pump out on the second day and the odour from the toilet in the rear cabin bunk.

Great holiday and great staff. Even got a free pump out at sister marina. Thanks . Only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is down to the boat fittings being perhaps a little tired in places - maybe I expect too much?

We had a very enjoyable holiday thank you. The only downside was that the boat itself was not as clean as it could be. The cupboards under the seats were not clean and we had to wash the floor just after arrival. Also 1 or 2 of the kitchen utensils were dirty. This was rather surprising owing to the Corona situation.

Excellent holiday. The boat was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The staff at the marina were friendly and helpful. The handover was well planned and carried out with regard to the current Covid restrictions.
