Excellent service from ABC Gailey. A very informative instruction manual was provided which enabled us to resolve a couple of minor issues which probably related to the fact that it was early season and the boat had not been used for a while. The boatyard also responded very quickly when our engine failed to start one morning, and gave us a work-around if it were to happen again (though their initial resolution clearly worked).

1st timers in this field and had such a relaxing time with 8 on board + a dog. Very attentive staff on hand 24/7, a couple of times we needed them and they were there in a flash, Henry, Ruben n the boss man (sorry forgot name) were a credit to the company. Will definitely use them again and recommend for any barge lovers!!

On arrival at Aldermaston we spoke to a lovely lady about our booking who was so helpful & friendly We then met Ruben who was very helpful explained well & was really nice We also had help through the first lock which was helpful Our week away on the Arctic Warbler was incredible we all really enjoyed it & will return again The boat was equipped well for everyday living Thank you to all the staff at Aldermaston

Really good company, boat was fantastic, guys working at Nantwich were really good, special mention to Zack and Wilson! The route was challenging with 44 locks, but we all enjoyed the trip, luckily had good weather mostly which was amazing. Boat is very comfortable, extra wide beds, improved showers, great sound system, galley very well equipped.

We hired the Reed Bunting for two weeks from 4-18 April at Anderton Marina,it was the first week she was out and we noticed she was not cleaned very well inside and found dust on plates in cups and dirty cooking pans.The water in the tank must have been old you could not make a cup of tea or coffee with it it tasted terrible We used water out of bottles for 2 weeks…The shower room floor had damaged tilrs and the bath if you took a shower it leaked into the living room (floot got wet)She had a new engine which was very good no complains about the driving of the boat We did a pump out after a week and asked for the refund when returning the biat,the lady behind the counter was not very nice and customer friendly and she said you did not use an ABC pump out so we cant refund this,they never told us you could only get refund when you do a pump out at ABC yard…Yhis costed us 22 pounds!We had boats before at ABC and all these points we pointed outbwhen we returned the boat.We hope ABC does something with our complants!But we had a nice 2 week sailing and did the Four Counties Ring

The canal needs some dredging in some places, but that’s not Goytre Wharf or ABCs fault. Very comfortable boat for a family of four. Great customer service from Goytre Wharf, friendly and welcoming.

Second time hired a canal boat, first time from ABC and there was a noticeable difference on customer service and more importantly, to me, the quality of bedding in ABCs favour. Actual pillows! Handover process was smooth and was a comfortable relaxing holiday.
