Great boat. We have been hiring canal boats for a number of years and this is the best one we have had so far. Well appointed. Best bathroom we have had and comfy beds.

Locks on Shropshire Union caused problems for other boats and long queues. CRT could check this out. Else all very good

After making a special request upon booking to ensure boat is thoroughly clean and free from mould due to my step dad having a terminal lung condition we arrived at Anderton to find that the boat was of the highest cleanliness standard we'd ever experienced. Jackie even went above and beyond and smogged the boat due to an increase in covid in the area. We've been on many boats and never have we had this experience of such cleanliness. Credit where credit is due. From the moment we arrived to the second we left we recieved a very warm welcome friendly and inviting staff members. We'd love to come back at some point though now step dad as been diagnosed with cancer aswell timing is of the essence. Would 110% recommend Anderton marina to everyone for boat holidays and again thankyou so much to Jackie for making the boat so clean and free from all mould that could of potentially made my step dad more poorly at the time.

The electric narrow boat was simple to operate snd a pleasure to drive. The boat was clean and tidy and we got a thoroughly professional handover at the start and finish. Ill definitely book with AVC again.

First time on the K&A, its an interesting departure from the "normal" canal holiday but worth doing once. ABC were welcoming, helpful and provided a boat that maintained the high standards we have come to expect from the group.

I recently completed a fantastic narrowboat trip with ABC Boathire, starting from Hilperton Marina and exploring some of the most scenic stretches of the Kennet and Avon Canal. Our journey took us to the bottom of Caen Hill Locks, then back through Bradford on Avon, onto Bath, and finally back to Hilperton. This route was the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and stunning scenery. The Journey: Starting from Hilperton, we made our way towards the famous Caen Hill Locks, a spectacular flight Navigating these locks was both challenging and rewarding, offering a real sense of accomplishment as we descended and then ascended them. The canal here is beautiful, surrounded by rolling countryside, and the locks themselves are a marvel of engineering. After Caen Hill, we cruised back through Bradford on Avon, a charming town where we enjoyed a leisurely stop. The town's historic architecture and welcoming atmosphere made it a highlight of our trip. We continued to Bath, passing over the two iconic aqueducts, Dundas and Avoncliff, both ways. These aqueducts offer breathtaking views and are a must-see for anyone cruising this route. Locks and Aqueducts: In total, we passed through 12 locks each way between Hilperton and Bath , The aqueduct crossings were a real treat, with the soaring structures providing a unique perspective of the surrounding countryside. Pub Stops: We stopped at some fantastic canal-side pubs each night, where we enjoyed hearty meals and the friendly atmosphere. The Barge Inn in Bradford on Avon and The George Inn at Bathampton were particular favorites, offering delicious food and a warm welcome after a day of cruising. Overall Experience: This trip was an absolute delight, combining the thrill of navigating locks with the tranquility of gliding through peaceful countryside and historic towns. The route offered a wonderful mix of activity and relaxation, with plenty of opportunities to stop and explore along the way. I highly recommend this journey to anyone looking for an immersive and scenic narrowboat experience. ABC Boathire provided excellent service throughout, making this an unforgettable adventure on the Kennet and Avon Canal.

I recently had the pleasure of hiring the Arabian Lark narrowboat from ABC Boathire for a week, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The boat was provided withall the comforts we needed. Navigating the waterways was not difficult after some time of practice thanks to the easy-to-handle design of the Arabian Lark. The team at ABC Boathire was really professional and helpful, providing us with a thorough briefing before we set off and always being available for any questions we had during the trip. T Cruising along the serene canals, surrounded by stunning landscapes and charming villages, was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I would highly recommend the Arabian Lark and ABC Boathire to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable holiday on the water. It was wonderful

The staff were lovely professional, I meant to give them a tip, but I fell asleep in my car afterword's I am so sorry guys I promise next time I am down I will. By the way we accidently took a towel we will return that as well okay.
