Excellent weekend, we all had a great time, not quite as relaxing as the girls had hoped but that said once we were all into the swing of the locks we all enjoyed it....and still time for a pint and a G&T. Horik was a big boats so just took an hour or two to get used too.

We do expect novices to take a couple of hours before they feel fully confident steering their boat but usually by the end of the holiday they are fully fledged captains! Up to date refurbished narrow boat. Everything thought of from puffy pillows to sachets of salt and pepper. Coffee cafetière and eco washing up liquid. Very clean. Brilliant staff whom talked us through the do’s and don’ts. Fantastic weekend.

It was our first time on a narrow boat and the boat quality and the helpfulness of all the staff was excellent.

Friendly marina staff , nice boat . Drawbacks - wifi was frustrating, kept logging out, would have rather had none , electric toilet not great , would have preferred old style drop through .. Plus points - galley really well equipped, heating good , loads of cupboard space in bathroom , boat lovely. Llangollen canal beautiful.

Excellent welcome from all staff, especislyy the "hand over". Same applies to the return and goodbyes. Not cheap but it is a lot of boat! One major complaint. The bed in the central cabin (I cannot speak for the other one) was the worst bed I recall sleeping in, ever. That includes the Australian Outback and a swag. Of course you need the flexibility of two single matresses but they should match and not have a hard prominenet ridge where they meet. Both were lumpy, soggy in places, solid in others. To put it politely - very much worn out and in need of immediate repacment and careful installation.

We had a great week cruising on the canals from Wrenbury marina boat had everything to meet our basic needs , Few things would have improved our time on the boat , decent quality curtains in the bedrooms as light just pours through them in the summer , Although WiFi was supplied it was with restricted data usage, if you are holidaying with child this could present issues as once it’s run out , we were 2 adults and it ran out on day 3 , and I don’t consider us heavy users, Maybe consider the option to purchase WiFi or data packs for the boat , Or don’t not offer the WiFi on board , Some fold away chairs would have been nice as no safe place to sit when you have company at the stern , or if you wish to sit outside in the evening, All in all we had a fantastic week with a mixture of amazing and awful weather ,and will definitely be hiring again

The boats from ABC are beginning to get tired. The mattresses need replacing to enable you get an uninterrupted night's sleep in such a narrow bed. The walled wood surfaces also need to be better cleaned.
