The whole experience was fantastic from picking the boat up to the route we took to Llangollen itself. The staff at ABC were great from the start of the process right through to handing the boat back nothing was too much trouble for them.

The boat had seen better days, very tired and the rudder rattled every time I used it. Apparently this was the last year it was being rented out. I would have preferred to know this information prior to booking it. The actual trip and customer service was very good and we had a lovely 4 day break. Shame about the boat

Thank you for your feedback. Regardless of the boats age it should still be maintained to a high standard and it is disappointing to hear that the rudder rattled. Depending on availability we are always happy to offer our newer boats to customers if they would prefer to book them. Basically pay for 5 days and get 3. Handover and parking cars etc means not away on the canal until after 4pm on the Monday and yard insists on boat being returned by 9.30am on the Friday. Good fun but not great value.

Thank you for your feedback. Our start and finish times are clearly shown at the time of booking and are no different from any other holiday company or hotel booking. Our boats needs to be cleaned, serviced, pumped out and refuelled between each hire. It is mandatory for our customers to have a handover, for their safety as well as other canal users and although this can be frustrating for some customers others feel that they are not long enough! It's great to hear that your mid-week break was fun and we hope you will be back for another holiday with us again soon.

Had a very enjoyable holiday, just occasionally had trouble mooring in 48 hour moorings because of the amount of private boats.

Thank you for your feedback. The Kennet & Avon can be busy at times and it can sometimes be difficult to moor in certain places. Our Marina staff can always offer advice on the best places to moor during your handover. We look forward to welcoming you back aboard in the future.

We had a great canal holiday in August, leaving from Aldermaston Warf. The staff we friendly and helpful and the boat was spotless inside.

Great boat, so much better than previous boats I’ve hired, albeit a few years ago. Well equiped and the beech interior is very light and airy.
