We liked the layout of the boat, the range of equipment and handling/ responsiveness of the tiller and prop drive. Details like the mooring clamps for sheet-piled banks and BCN 'handcuff keys' automatically provided showed thoughfulness. The weedhatch was easily accessible and lighting well-placed. The tunnel light was slightly dim when used in larger bore tunnels (eg. Netherton) and the grill-pan hard to remove when hot, but otherwise few criticisms.

Boat was lovely. Our little caravan on the water. The weather was pretty wet and cold so we did not manage our circuit. We loved the locks and the lock keeper who helped us through one of the flights. The engineer, Simon, at the base in Worcester was very helpful and friendly. One doubt we had was about taking water on board. The yard near Hanbury we’re shirty about us having any. The hose won’t reach and a very convenient alternative was said to be out of order.

What an amazing week! The boat was beautiful and so well equipped. The staff, especially Ben, were wonderful to work with. Our route to Bradford on Avon, Bath and Bristol was perfect! Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience. The whole family had the best time.

The boat was well equipped and clean. The layout wasn't to my liking, as the dining room bed was high and the mattress was very hard.

Well equipped boat and great scenery and canal side pubs Only downside is your WiFi on the boat. The problem is every time you want use it you have to re-enter all your details despite registering on first entering the boat. Surely you can sort this. You do not have to do this on your competitor’s canal boats.

This was our first time on a narrow boat. Booking was so easy and helpful. We were informed that our boat was already in the Marina so we could have it earlier. Upon arrival we were greeted by Lynn who made checking in relaxing and quick and we were shown to our boat very quickly for our instructions on the boat by Geoff. A great team who were always there if you needed them, we called once on a minor query. Returning the boat again was easy. Great team, excellent holiday.

Great service from the marina at the base and on callout to technical issue. And the Derwent boats are excellent - shame they are getting rid of this one.
