Brilliant 4 day holiday. It was our first time so a bit nervous taking out a 66ft boat but everything was explained, boat immaculate with everything we could need.

Great holiday, lovely canal and fab staff. The only thing stopping 5 stars was the noise of the diesel central heating in the aft bedroom. This was really loud and made sleeping difficult. On the warmer nights when we turned it off we were fine. Previous boats we have had use gas for heating when the engine is off and noise has not be an issue.

Excellent handover, very informative and detailed. The boat was clean and supplied with all our initial needs, plus a few extras. Map was provided as well as helpful information about our route. Following a problem at one of the locks the marina staff were extremely helpful over the phone. The route from Reedley to Bingley is beautiful and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday. Mooring is plentiful along the route and assistance from the CRT at some of the locks was appreciated

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The boat was well equipped and warm. The weather was better than expected - who would expect the Easter weekend to be as hot as it was?? Other canal users were courteous and welcoming and helpful when necessary without being overbearing.

Overall brilliant. A few points of general feedback: Our boat wasn't ready at 2.30pm & we had to wait about an hour. Advice about how long the hot water tank lasted/took to refill would have been nice as would advice about any party member needing to leave early as one of our party (due to family illness) headed back on a bike to find the gates were closed & didn't receive a very warm welcome by the night warden!

We do aim to get customers underway as quickly as possible and understand that it can be frustrating to be delayed. You are always welcome to call the Marina on the day of your hire to see if your boat will be ready any earlier than 2:30pm. But this can be difficult during busier perioids. The keys to the gate would have been on the set of keys for your boat, and this should have explained to you beforehand. We will pass your comments on to the marina and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

An awesome time again, we have used ABC Boat hire many times now over the years. Gailey Wharf provides a great location with access to so many routes and the staff there are friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend.

We were crew of 7 on the Great Owl & did the Black Country ring in great weather. Couple of problems with the boat that were remediated fantastically by the yard with a smile on their faces very swiftly - thank you. Boat was a little less comfortable & felt more cramped than previous experiences, with access to seating arrangements only from one end & need to bring cushions from elsewhere to support backs. Never understand galley kitchens that create a bottle-neck & would have preferred a "U shaped" but always a trade off when selecting a boat for a larger than 6 crew. Liked the plentiful number of 240v plug sockets. Would go again with same company & this base has good starting point, great parking & lots of trolleys to get bags to & fro boat with staff & engineers keen to engage in positive manner.
