We were first time canal boaters and although we managed I felt that we had too little training before being released on our own with a 66' boat. As it happened we did well and had no accidents.

Thank you for your feedback. It can be difficult to gauge the right amount of tuition time for first timers and previous guests as every crew is different. There certainly is a sense of achievement after your first holiday and of course if you decide to take another holiday on the canals you will now be experienced boaters!

Our first time on a canal holiday and we loved it. The boat was just right for two, plenty of room. The staff at the marina were great, with just the right amount of instruction - about half an hour - on the boat.

Overall the experience was really good. It was everything we hoped for. Our only coment would be the beds are on the narrow side if you are a larger person.

Just beautiful calm experience for the passengers and challenging for the drivers ( kept them in their toes in a good way) anyone can handle the barge with or without experience.

I was disappointed that the fixed double bed did not have a double mattress, but rather two singles put together. The resultant "split" down the centre of the mattress made sleeping uncomfortable. The week was thus hampered by the lack of a good night's sleep.

Thank you for your feedback. Very few of our boats have fixed double beds as we find that our customers like to have the flexibility of different layout options. If you do decide to make another booking then please speak to a member of the booking office team at the time of booking and they can advise you in your choice of boat.
