ABC dotted all the i's and crossed all its T's in planning and executing the trip. The boats were clean and right-provisioned, the personnel were friendly and helpful, and the trip itself was glorious, in just the right low-key ways-- green fields, blue sky, sheep in the meadow, cows in the muddy verges of the creek.

It’s the second time we have been on a Narrowboat holiday on the UK Canal System. The boat was well equipped and met our needs. We enjoyed the holiday and the freedom to do things at our own pace.

The route we chose, as seniors, was scenic, historic and most enjoyable. Our boat offered no problems as it was well outfitted with no mechanical issues. The staff in Hilperton were very accommodating, explaining the running of the boat easily enough to understand. The accompanying binder of information was useful.

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The boat had everything we needed and was very comfortable and the staff at Blackwater Meadow were at every step both very helpful and wonderfully friendly. Would recommend to all.

Very helpful team at Goytre Wharf. Boat was clean and tidy and ready on time. Whilst the instruction was good, we later later found out that the toilet tank had to be pumped out after 4 days, which was not what we were lead to believe, but meant we had to motor to another boat yard and pay, but was refunded on return. Being World Cup football we had hoped to see it on the boat TV, but could not get it tuned in. The supporting leg mounting socket on the second bed in the main cabin had collapsed, which meant we had to be very careful in it set up. The Brecon and Monmouthshire canal is beautiful and not many locks so motoring is quite relaxed. In all a great relaxed holiday.

Thank you for your feedback, the toilet tank shouldn't have needed to be pumped out after 4 days and the Marina staff will have checked to see if there was a technical issue on your return. We will also check that the problem with the bed has now been resolved. Unfortunately the television signal can be very patchy in certain areas and cannot be guaranteed, we hope you found a pub to watch the football in! It's great to hear that you enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Mon & Brec.

Good layout, excellent bathrooms, quality fittings, handled well. Do not understand how a company such as yours, which builds for private ownership with every boat having a bow thruster, does not include such boats in its hire fleet.

Thank you for your feedback. As many of our hirers have no or very little experience we feel that the addition of a bow thruster would actually cause too many technical issues. It's great to hear that you like the layout and fittings on our new Duck Class boat! We hope to see you again soon.

The only reason why I could not give you 5* rating is the price. We thought it was quite expensive for a 4 night trip. Apart from that it was a wonderful experience and we would like to do it again.

We have gone with ABC for a few years now but this year we were disappointed with the boat. It was not cleaned thoroughly before we took it, including broken glass from the hirers the week before. The boat was tired in all respects. The boat bed layout was not not as we had requested which meant we had to rearrange the beds ourselves. Not a good start for a group of ladies aged 59 plus! The area however, was lovely.
