We had a enjoyable 3 nights break on Scotch Mist. On arriving the admin staff at Falkirk were very helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. Tam who met us at the barge was also very good, pleasant, helpful and explained everything thoroughly. As we were all inexperienced he went with us through the first lock and then passed us over to the Falkirk wheel staff who were also very good, helpful and pleasant. When we came off the wheel at the top we had another 2 locks to go through and once again all staff were good and helpful. We enjoyed sailing along the canal it was so peaceful. The barge was very well equipped and the decor was good. It was spotless and as there were 4 adults and 4 children it was great to have 2 toilet/ shower rooms. We all had a great experience and lovely time. On our return we experienced the same level of helpfulness from all the staff, nothing was too much trouble. It makes a big difference when staff are so helpful and pleasant and once again I would like to say they were brilliant. We certainly had a great time.

The whole experience from polite and helpful staff and a well presented boat made our holiday very enjoyable. The price appears inflated for school holidays but using Tesco club card points help lighten the load.

The boat was immaculate, well appointed, and exactly as advertised. A week spent with 4 adults and 3 children didn't ever feel cramped. Everything worked as it was supposed to work and it was a brilliant holiday! I cannot think of a better way to see that part of Scotland.

We travelled as a group of 6 aboard the Blue Goose, an 8 berth canal boat. This gave us the space needed to ensure we had a great time away and indeed we had the best time away on the Blue Goose! 4 relaxing days spent cruising the Kennett and Avon canal at a leisurely pace through Bath and return to Hilperton.

We had a great time - 3 generations with plenty of space. The instructions beforehand were excellent and Horik was better equipped than any holiday cottage we have hired. The whole experience was great fun and we will certainly be doing it again.

boat was ready on time, clean and tidy, everything was as it should be, instruction time was a bit short, For the future it would be nice to have a gauge for the water tank, even if its just a dip stick, or a plastic tube up the side of the tank, not essential but definitely would be helpful.

The boat was prepared for us beautifully. It was a very new boat and was extremely well appointed. Very comfortable. A special thanks to Gail whose efficiency, flexibility and clarity was very impressive. And also to Ron who talked us through the ins and outs of the boat usage and proposed routes with great patience and expertise. We didn't want to let him go when we set sail!

Our training was spot on for four new guys, our location for the trip was outstanding making it perfect, and the boat was excellent & very well equipped much more than we needed with not planning on cooking for our trip.

Excellent holiday. Only comment would be to have more staff available for instructions as we had to wait a fair time before we could get going which is frustrating when we arrived at the required time.
