It was very simple to book and when we arrived it was all very straightforward. The training video was helpful. It was easy to use the boat - although a bit cold on board!

Couldn't fault ABC enough, nothing was too much trouble and the time Paul spent with us teaching us what to do was very informative and pitched just right.

1. Booking staff were excellent esp with the changes that I had with dates etc. 2 marina staff from front counter to handover wee efficient and stress free 3. Safety was No . 1 priority 4. The boat was a gem, it had everything , we prepared for our picnic but it was all there on board incl. cutlery and sink. The boat handled beautifully. Stopped at two pubs northwards. 5. Only regret was that we only had a boat for one day. Thanks for giving us the most memorable stress free day in the UK.

Everything was really good and great friendly staff . The only thing that was a bit of a nuisance was locks being so close together ,but over all throughly enjoyed it .

Fantastic boat, helpful staff at both Alvechurch and Worcester marina’s lovely weather and beautiful scenery. The 54 locks in two days was a challenge but we did it and we will probably do it again thank you ABC

There were 7 American women who embarked on this 7 day adventure piloting our own boat on the Union Canal. The instruction and introduction to our boat was excellent! We had such a good time...it wasn't without incident or drama, but Amazing! What beauty and the boat accommodations were superb! Given that our boat was larger than some of our friends who were doing the same thing...we traveled slowly. We met lovely people along the way and had a great time...

My family of 19 rented 4 boats for a week trip to Stratford and back. The ABC people at Alvechurch could not have been more friendly and helpful. We are all total novices in terms of canal boating and it didn't seem to matter one bit. The whole family said it was the best holiday we've ever had together. Great!

The weather was cold and the boat was difficult to keep warm in the evenings.

Great boat, great base, great staff on hand and friendly. Great canal what’s not to love about the K&A if you can see beyond some of the other users of unnamed holiday hires and private boats inconsiderate attitudes towards other users. 2nd time using ABC having been regular customer of another company. When we can afford we will be back for sure. Thank you all at Hilperton.

We were told we couldn't have the double and the single set up in the saloon at the same time so we changed to singles throughout the boat. It turned out there was space for the saloon to be set up as we originally intended but the accommodation in the for and aft cabins was then singles when doubles would have suited us far better.

Thank you for your feedback. On some of our boats it may be possible to have the dinette double and single fold down bed along side each other but we cannot offer this as a layout for health and safety reasons. In case of an emergency there must always be a clear passage through the boat. We hope you enjoyed your holiday and we look forward to seeing you again.

The holiday was good fun. We had to remove weed and plastic bags from the screw several times ( a reflection on non-canal users not the company). The canals were quiet so no queuing at locks which saved time and the visit to the Black Country Living Museum was really good with moorings right next door to the entrance.

Thank you for your feedback. It is necessary to check the weed hatch daily to remove any debris that may have caught on the propeller - at this time of year leaves are the worst offenders! We're really pleased you enjoyed the quiet calm of the canal in October and managed to fit a day out into your holiday too. We hope we will be able to welcome you back aboard again soon.
