On arrival boat very clean, friendly staff, love that you can walk out to the bow of the boat very good layout.Sun was out wonderful ! Not many moorings on the river at Bath and onward though, but thats not the hire companies fault. highly recomended.

Good fun but hard work. The boat smelled a bit of poo. I understand that bed options are difficult in the confined space but there surely has to be a better option that doesn't cause back ache. We're glad we did it and we enjoyed ourselves.

The boat was really well fitted out and comfortable, the staff at the base were great, and the canals we travelled on were beautiful. A relaxing wonderful holiday.

We had a great time which was obviously helped by the splendid weather. There are a few things that could be improved, e.g blackout blinds would have improved our sleeping especially if children had been on the boat; the pull down seat was extremely hard to manoeuvre and not very comfortable; we thought the wider beds seemed a good idea when we were shown them, but it meant almost remaking the beds every night. We were on the boat for 2 weeks and a more comfortable seating area would have been appreciated, all right for a few days but didn't help our backs. We appreciated having sharp knives which are often lacking. Bin bags could have been bigger

De boot was zeer compleet aangekleed en alles wat je nodig had zat erin. Alleen jammer dat de bedden te smal waren om er behoorlijk in te kunnen slapen. Je zou ze eigenlijk met een plank o.i.d. moeten kunnen verbreden

Good experience. First time on a canal boat and on hindsight could have been given more information on the fuel and water expected duration but overall a pleasant break.

A few days before the start of our holiday I received a call from the ABC office informing me that the boat I'd hired had had an engine failure and couldn't be fixed in time. A replacement boat was offered but sadly not at Aldermaston, from where we wanted but from Hilperton, further away and not the area of the canal we really wanted to go. I give it 4stars because it was great. The office ladies were most helpful, all the boat yard people were really good and the boat was lovely.
